This is a great easy spice rub recipes for New York or Rib Eye Steaks. Nice on rubs or chicken too. Especially good with some contrasting sauce, salsa or steak butter.
1 ½ teaspoons smoked sweet paprika
1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
1 ½ teaspoons chipotle powder
1 ½ teaspoons Mexican oregano
1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
Combine all, makes enough rub for 4 steaks.
This spice rub recipe combines wet and dry ingredients with spicy North African style!
2 tablespoons dark chili powder
1 tablespoon harrissa paste
1 tablespoon Ras al Hanout or 1 tablespoon cumin and 1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 orange, zested and juiced
2 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon olive oil
This spice rub recipe uses wet and dry ingredients to bring some classic Chinese flavors to the grill in an unconventional east-west way. Do be a bit careful as the hoisin sauce may burn on to high a heat. Try this on chicken or pork chops too.
2 tablespoons Hoisin
11/2 tablespoons sriracha
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder or 1 teaspoon fresh ginger finely chopped
1 bunch scallions, minced
1 ounce rice wine vinegar
Combine all ingredient and rub on steaks, chicken or pork. Allow to marinate for an hour or up to 8 hours. Cook it up!
